Bachmann Consulting is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2007. Founder and company owner Dr. Jutta Bachmann, who has a degree in English and Romance languages as well as in biology and a Ph.D. in genetics, can look back on the successful foundation and history of her company.

Bachmann Consulting was founded as Bachmann Text and Data Services in Tübingen, Germany, in 1997, and its activities focused initially on information retrieval and analysis (J. Bachmann: Der Information Broker – Information suchen, sichten, präsentieren, Adison-Wesley 2000), the translation and editing of biomedical texts (German/English) as well as coaching in the field of scientific publishing. The service portfolio was soon expanded to include the conceptualisation and maintenance of scientific databases. BioChipNet (in cooperation with the NMI – Natural and Medical Sciences Institute at the University of Tübingen) and regenerationnet (in cooperation with BioRegio STERN Management GmbH in Stuttgart) have quickly established themselves as reliable sources of information and also contribute to the reputation of the southern German science environment.

At the beginning of 2002, Bachmann Consulting moved its business to Norway and took on its current company name. The company profile remained unchanged. The main focus of the company’s activities is still the field of biomedicine. With a team of 8 freelancers – biologists, linguists and journalists – Bachmann Consulting provides linguistically high-quality manuscripts and press releases. The databases are also attracting an ever-increasing audience.
